Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear meets with company leaders in Madrid

Representatives of corporations from different sectors attended the meeting, at which the strengths of Kentucky as a center for investment were highlighted. The CEO of Acerinox shared his experience in Kentucky where Acerinox built the United States’ largest stainless steel factory.

On Monday, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear joined company leaders from across Spain and Europe for a luncheon touting the advantages of investing in Kentucky. The Governor, who made the stop on his way to Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum, also highlighted the successful partnership between Kentucky and Acerinox – the parent company of North American Stainless, located in Carroll County, Kentucky. 

A variety of industry sectors were represented at the luncheon by senior leaders, as well as John Coronado, Senior Commercial Officer and Rian Harker, Charge d’Affaires of US Commercial Service.
